Story
For the last two Christmases, Emmaville have asked that no presents were given to the staff. Although we appreciate your generosity, we felt that a donation to local food banks was the best gift that you could give to us. Your response both years was tremendous. Last year we made the People’s Kitchen our food bank of choice and you raised a whopping £766 (plus gift aid) that helped feed and support its vulnerable people.
We are very aware that The People's Kitchen does some remarkable work and their moto, ‘We are not here to see through one another; we are here to see one another through’, is particularly pertinent at Christmas for people who may be alone and experiencing a difficult time. This Christmas, we also ask that no presents are given to the staff, instead, we wish to continue supporting The People’s Kitchen with the JustGiving page.
The People's Kitchen state that "We can provide a three course meal for just £5 and all of the associated support that goes with it. If you can donate, it would be a tremendous Christmas gift to our Friends.”
Any Emmaville families (or friends) who would wish to make a monetary donation can do so.
Everyone at Emmaville and The People's Kitchen thank you all for you kindness and generosity.
