I live in a village just outside Cambridge and work for Cambridgeshire County Council.  I love running and have done half marathons in the past to raise funds for my favourite charities, one of which is Emmaus Cambridge.  I love the work that it does with previously homeless people and the fact that it gives them an opportunity to change their lives for themselves by volunteering in the charity's second-hand warehouse just off the A10 at Landbeach.  I particularly like visiting their Coffee Shop to enjoy lemon cake and coffee.

The Ennerdale 25k Trail Run takes place in a remote area on the edge of the Lake District and involves running along various types of trails through forest and beside Silver Cove Beck and Ennerdale Water.  The scenery will be spectacular but very challenging and I am really looking forward to challenging myself for my friends at Emmaus.An
