The RAF Benevolent Fund is the RAF's leading welfare charity. We have been there for all members of the RAF Family for over 100 years. Last year we assisted more than 70,000 members of the RAF Family. Support us in 2025 and help us reach even more members of the RAF Family.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 13th March 2016, I am running the Adidas Silverstone Half Marathon, and on Saturday 19th March I'm jumping out of plane at 13000 feet and freefalling for 40 seconds at 120 miles per hour  .. Plus an added 10k event called "Spitfire 10k" Why you ask ? Have a read below about a wonderful charity who helps support our RAF men and woman  (Past & Present)

The RAF Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) is an independent charity, supporting the men and woman (Past & Present) of the RAF. The support they offer covers so many aspects, from housing and house repairs, disability respite breaks to long term care, to support those in financial and other distress and it extends to their families too. The RAFBF website has many touching stories of the fantastic support they offer to a wide cross section of the RAF.

They they receive no government funding at all, in order to continue this vital and in some cases life changing work they rely totally on donations. I am so insoired by the stories of people the RAFBF have helped that I want to do my bit and help make a difference and if that means running 19:1 miles and throwing myself out of plane then that is what I will do.

I hope you can help to with a small donation, however small. Take a look at  www.rafbf.org and have a look at how your donation can help.
