Bungee Jump into The Abyss · 17 November 2012

We support the thousands of patients and families at Sheffield Children’s, from across the UK and beyond, by funding the life-changing and the joy-sparking. We make clinical care kinder, and bad days brighter. We bring play, laughter and comfort to places where they’re needed the most.

Story

During the summer of 2012, my little cousin was diagnosed with stage two Hodgkin's Lymphoma after being referred to Sheffield Children's Hospital. After two lots of chemotherapy and one lot of radiotherapy we felt she was starting to get back on her feet. It turns out the cancer has spread and so she will need to undergo further treatment once the results are through. She has been such a brave little girl and the hospital has been a great support.

The reason I have chosen this charity is that not only do they put there money into upcoming research to try and find new treatments to help their patients to get back on their feet, but they also help the hospital provide play specialists and amazing facilities for the children tp have the best experience they possibly can whilst being in the hospital; whether that's long term or just for a few days.

In April 2013, I am going to bungee jump into semi-darkness at The Abyss, Magna from approximately 150 feet high (after climbing the 143 steps, hopefully without looking down). All the money donated for my charity jump will go directly to The Children's Hospital Charity. Thank you for visiting my page and any donations will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who has donated money so far. It is greatly appreciated.
