Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Saturday night I completed my first marathon (in the extremely annoying time of 5 hours and 11 seconds) under the Midnight Sun at Tromso in Northern Norway, inside the Arctic Circle . Physically it was the hardest thing I have ever done, but it was also absolutely wonderful to be a part of such an exciting event in a very wild and beautiful place - tinged with sadness that my great friend and running partner, Jay Cooper, had not been able to take part after a knee operation. Debbie Sabini stepped into the breach and came with me to Norway - the most glamorous trainer! - and was a brilliant support . Thank you so much Debbie!

I ran in aid of Dementia UK.You can find out more about the charity at http://www.dementiauk.org/. Please support me if you can.
