I don't really know where to start. I need to keep busy and still honour my husband. Doing things for him helps me get through. I nursed him myself at home till he passed and now I'm feeling totally lost.
Jamie is nick named my superman as he was so strong throughout. You see my superman of a husband and daddy to our two girls, had a very rare cancer that was incurable, called small cell carcinoma. He passed away 6 months ago on the 4th of July after a 10 month battle. He had two tumours which obstructed all organs in his stomach, and the cancer also spread to his liver and lungs. Somehow he still managed to walk up to one week before his passing! He never stopped smiling, joking and remained compos mentis throughout. Also during this time his amazingly stunning mum passed away two days before our wedding on the 13th of may, too from cancer, showing the same strength as Jamie! They definitely are two of a kind. It's been a very traumatic time for our family and my aim now is to show our two daughters that we can turn this into a positive and try to help as many people as we can with what we know. Jamie is proof that we may not be able to control every situation and its outcome, but we can control how we deal with it.
So this is really why I'm asking for donations. It will go to the wedding wishing well foundation who gave us the great gift of cementing our feelings for each other and becoming husband and wife. I cannot explain how this has helped and also how it gave us a break from the heartache but instead swapped it with love.
So I must ensure others are given the same opportunity.
On February the 24th six of Jamie's best friends and family members will be cycling 37 miles around Bristol! Each mile is in memory of Jamie's age. There are also other friends helping behind the scenes. It's going to be tough and very cold! So please show tour support.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I don't want to make anyone sad! Without the dark you won't see the stars! I've realised this is true about J. We all love him but he was too good for this world and since he has been gone this has become so apparent how special he was. ❤️💙💔
