Hi my name is Emma Powell and I have recently graduated from Northampton University with a degree in early childhood studies. I am going to thailand wih my friend, Caley Vye at the end of august to work with primary school children teaching english. However, between us we need to raise money in order to pay for our own expenses to get there which in turn will go back into charity which is a great opportunity for helping. We have organised a car boot sale and plan to do a bake sale or sponsered walk/ run. This opportunity to work in Thailand with the organisation of VESL is an excellent opportunity for both of us and will in turn help children's as well as adults language and literacy skills in English. Whilst over in Thailand we both plan to undertake community project work also, hopefully with poverty stricken children or street children. We aim to go to thailand to help and support children as well as adults to give something back to the community and to improve lives.
