Story
On Sunday 12th September 2021, I will be running (or walking or crawling) the Great North Run Half Marathon for the charity Jack's journey.
Jack's Journey is a Cumbria based charity which supports local families through childhood cancer.
A cancer diagnosis is upsetting at any age, but as a Mammy myself I can't even begin to think of anything more upsetting than when that person is a child.
I can only try to imagine how adjusting to a child’s cancer diagnosis and finding ways to stay strong is challenging for everyone in a family. Therefore, I can't think of a more worthy cause to run my first ever half marathon for.
As a charity, Jack's Journey provide financial support to families undergoing treatment for cancer and also provide a holiday home, away from the worries of home life free of charge.
Please donate whatever you can, and please feel free to share with your friends too. Every little helps.
