Story
I will be doing the Southampton marathon this April in memory of my mum Maureen Holmes (aka Mo) as some will of known her.
Where do I start... my mum was not only my best friend but someone who motivated me to achieve my goals in life, she was always out walking and enjoying her fitness and met many friends along the way.
As a family we were so incredibly proud of her and her achievements and we will continue to keep making her proud of us.
Earl Mountbatten hospice gave our family the opportunity to spend quality time with our mum with the up most respect, care and support and we are so very grateful for that.
I have just started my training as I wanted to spend as much time with my mum as possible, due to her short illness. I know it will be hard but I know my mum will be with me every step of the way doing what she did best, being my number 1 motivation.
I know it is difficult times at the moment with what is happening in the world, but if you can please donate just a small amount myself, family and I know my mum will be extremely grateful. The hospice is such a wonderful place and everyone there goes above and beyond, we as a family couldn't of wished for a better place for our mum's last days.
And if you have already donated, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
