100,000 meter Charity Swim, 28 June 2022

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am going to be swimming 100,000 meters (100km) over the course of September 2022. This works out at approximately 3,333 meters per day over this 30 day period. I will be doing this to raise money for Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind, a wonderful charity that is at the forefront of sight loss services for visually impaired people in Sheffield who provide support, friendship and services to blind and partially sighted people in Sheffield.

This has included my Nannan who has loved the time she spends with the team at Mappin Street and looked forward to their phone calls every week during lockdown to check in and make sure she was doing ok.

This is a great local, independent charity which relies on public donations to fund their services and it is also a massive challenge for me. I am used to doing around 2,000 meters swimming in a day so I’m challenging myself for more in order to raise money for SRSB.

Wish me luck and any support you can provide will be massively appreciated!

Thank you,

Emma
