As many of you know our daughter/step-daughter Bethan was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in August 2016. 
The medical staff in Orkney and Aberdeen are being fantastic and although it is a long old journey, her treatment is going well so far. 
We are hugely indebted to CLAN Haven down in Aberdeen, where the family are staying for the duration of Bethan's treatment in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary - for their brilliant accommodation and support and for the their wellness centre here in Orkney whose services I am sure we will be using a lot over the next year or so. 

Now the dust has settled a bit and Bethan has completed the induction stage of her chemo we are supporting Clan's 'Go Purple for Clan in September' campaign to raise badly needed funds for families where we live. If our purpleness makes you smile and you could give any donation at all, that would be amazing and we would be hugely grateful.
