Story
I know I have asked you for fundraising already this year but as you all know Maggie’s Manchester is a place very close to my heart. I have a place for the Manchester 10k which has been postponed from 24th May to September. I was running this 10km with my dear friend Jo but now it’s been postponed she won’t be able to run as she is moving to Dubai. We have agreed to run our own 10km races on Sunday 24th May so that she still gets to do it together! I will also run in the postponed race!
I hope you can spare a bit if cash to help me support Maggie’s who have picked me up from dark places in the past during our long journey with Guy’s cancer. I can’t get to the centre at the moment but I know they are still in the end if the phone when I need them. I know you have all really well supported my fundraising in the past and I hope you can again! It’s so important to me to help the charities that guided me and Guy right through to the end and beyond. Sending love, Emma xxx
Maggie's Manchester needs your support now more than ever. We are here supporting people with cancer and their families who are worried and anxious that their treatment plan might be changed and wondering what coronavirus means for them. We're working shoulder to shoulder with our NHS colleagues by providing a place to take a break and rest, as well as support to patients at a time when they need it most. We have one to one phone, skype, email and facetime support. Our online community, run by psychologists, cancer support specialists and benefits advisors, can also help with daily blogs on how to cope with self isolation or treatment changes. You can join our online kitchen table with others who are going through the same thing offering support. Everything we do depends on the kindness of our donors. We will always be there for people with cancer but we need you alongside us. Please do whatever you can to help by supporting us today.
