Charity Quiz Night

We are really excited to be raising money and awareness for Northamptonshire Search and Rescue, also known as lowland rescue

Northamptonshire search and rescue is a charity made up of 38 volunteers, 1 search dog and they’ve recently added a drone to the team.

What do Northamptonshire search and rescue do?
They support the emergency services to locate vulnerable people who have gone missing, 24/7 all year around and all weather! These individuals are normally high risk they may have dementia, Mental health or other health reasons. They also support at local events covering first aid.

A lot of people don’t know that the volunteers at search and rescue, go through a lot of training one of them being water rescue. This meant they were able to supported in the bad floods last Christmas, especially at Billing where they spent hours getting residents to safety, and also rescuing cars that had become stuck in the flood water

We want to support Northamptonshire search and rescuex, as it is a public funded charity that rely on fundraising and donations. The charity quiz night will help us raise awareness and money, which will help them to be able to get new equipment, to do jobs that can be proven to be challenging without the equipment. To even help fund the volunteers so they can go on there training/courses, or the money may even go towards any unforeseen emergency vets bills.
