Story

Nightingale House Hospice Ladies Midnight Walk 26th June 2010

A 10 mile sponsored walk around Wrexham on Saturday 26th June 2010, starting from Llwyn Isaf (the Library field) in front of the Guildhall, at midnight.

I would be grateful if you would sponsor me.

Nightingale House provides specialist palliative care services, completely free-of-charge, to patients and their families across a wide area stretching from Wrexham, Flintshire and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns including Oswestry and Whitchurch.
It costs £2.55 million to run the charity for the year which works out to be about £7000 a day and only 18% is comes form satutory govermant sources. The Hospice rely on generosity from the community it serves.

About the charity

Nightingale House offers a wide range of facilities to local people and their families living with life-limiting illness. Patients come from Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire and outlying areas. In 2025 it will cost £5,603,094 million to run the Hospice - this equates to nearly £15,351 per day.
