Story
As with all these things it started with a good idea - and one from my husband. "The Color Run....we should do it as a family as its only around the corner from us and looks fun!" Give me a task to do - and its done - so within minutes the 3 of us were signed up. Only problem...i havent run since school and even then that was only to be first in line for lunch.....
As a naturally unsporty person I am the first to admit that I have not found this easy......run 20 mins a day I was told.....yeah right.....I managed a personal best of 7 minutes for about a fortnight. However this week i have finally broken the 20 minutes barrier - so feel a glimmer of hope that I may, just maybe, have a chance of doing it.
With that in mind, and a guaranteed donation from a couple of friends I feel that I should man (or woman) up and be sponsored....so I cant back out!
Hemihelp is a small charity based in the UK that is close to our hearts, and who work hard to spread the awareness of Hemiplegia and support families especially during the stages of early diagnosis.
Come Dec 14th - I will put my runners on and hopefully not hold Keith and Laith back too much. We will then be pelted with coloured paint and finish in a riot of colour - with a smile on our faces (hopefully)!!
