Story
In a few weeks’ time I will be having around twelve inches of my hair cut off, to be donated to make wigs for children who have lost their's to cancer. My long hair has always been a big part of my self-image: very few people will have known me with short hair. The idea of losing my long locks is not one I like, but I DO like the idea of putting a smile on a brave little girl's face when she starts to feel more like herself. Obviously, this in no way compares to what someone suffering from cancer goes through.
Many people I know have been doing amazing things for charity lately and a haircut hardly compares, but this is personal to me, and I hoped to raise a little bit for Cancer Research by doing it.
It’s hardly a charity that requires advertisement so I shan’t go on about it, but if it would mean a lot if I could inspire some donations from you lovely people.
Thank you.
