We fund care to help people through a terminal illness

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Sam's JustGiving page.

We'd like to ask Sam's family and friends to donate to The Martlets Hospice instead of giving flowers at his funeral.

As many of you know, Sam spent his last 10 days at The Martlets Hospice, where he passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve.  None of us imagined that Sam would ever go into a hospice and certainly not so soon.  However, since our wedding, Sam's health deteriorated so rapidly that we were unable to support him fully at home. The Martlets Hospice offered him the support he needed at the end of his wonderful life. He was able to receive pain relief as soon as he needed it and had the best staff to help him. It also allowed us as a family to spend precious time with him in a safe and welcoming environment. Sasha, Georgie, Lenni and Ray were able to spend time at The Martlets and, if they remember the last times they saw their Dad / Uncle, I am sure these will be positive memories.

I could go on all day about how fantastic The Martlets is but I think by now you have got the message. Please give generously to their charity as this is where the majority of their funding comes from.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
