Story

Hello,

I am doing a 10km walk through London to remember my Grandad Frank who fought in the Royal Navy in WWII. My Grandad passed away last year but told me many stories of his naval days. One that Grandad often told me was how he felt on the day his mother received a telegram to tell her her other son (my Grandad's brother), who was also in the navy had died in a U-boat attack.

The Royal British Legion do fantastic work to support both service men and women who have served our country and their families. In light of the recent Chilcot enquiry I will also be thinking about the thousands of people affected by the Iraq war. Since 2003, the British Legion have helped more than 10,000 people affected by the Iraq war. I hope I can raise some money to support their continued great work.

If you would like to help me I'd be really grateful if you could donate as little as the cost of a pint (London prices! Ha). I will be saying to cheers to my amazing Grandad on 17 July.

Many thanks in advance.

Emma x
