I have committed to take on a personal challenge in 2022 and volunteer for the Futurestars Charity and travel to Ghana to work with the team at the schools and projects. This challenge will see me travel to Ghana and stay in the Charity hostel with all the other volunteers and work with hundreds of underprivileged children. 

The Charity funds the education at certain schools as well as teacher’s salaries, uniforms, transport, books and school meals. Fendercare as a company are corporate donors for the Futurestars Charity and they have all seen the amazing work they do, so now I have decided it is my turn to help them.  

I have decided to take up this challenge for three reasons, firstly the charity, teachers and children need all the help they can get and this is my small way of helping them make a difference.

Secondly, I want to raise as much funding as possible for the charity to help them with their daily expenses to support the schools and projects they work with.

Lastly, I wanted to do this for my own personal development and do something amazing and rewarding, I am already excited at the fact I have actually signed up and can’t wait to get out there in May next year.

Through the Charity, Education is provided at the Future Leaders school in Accra for less that 50p per day per child so as an example a donation of £50 will cover the education for one child for 100 days. £150 covers the education for one child for the whole year. Let’s see how many children we can support in this way before I get out there in May 22.
