Story
For the last 2 years I have taken part in Race for Life, a truly worthwhile event! This year we have lost a very special pupil from our school. She bravely fought her cancer for just over a year and very sadly lost her battle at the beginning of 2018. A group of us at school wanted to undertake a real challenge in her memory and we wanted to really push ourselves. (The reality of the challenge is beginning to sink in and I think we are all a little bit scared!) This challenge is unlike anything any of us have ever done and we are so very up for it!
In March this year we also got the news that one of our colleagues and very close friends had been diagnosed with breast cancer, she is currently undergoing treatment for this and is being so strong. We are all inspired by her each and every day and know that she is going to fight and come out of this stronger than ever before.
destroy families and turn their lives upside down. Macmillan believe that life with cancer is still life and they will help patients and their families live it. From the moment that people are diagnosed, through their treatment and beyond, Macmillan are a constant source of support, giving patients the energy and inspiration to take back control and feel more like themselves again.
