Story

This will be my 13th half marathon running for the A-T Cure Team and specifically Team Emily Hughes!!!  This year I will be running "on my own" as a virtual member of the Space Coast Half Marathon.

I've created this page because I want to make a difference. I'm inspired by the work of the A-T Children's Project and wanted to support them by raising money to help find a cure for ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T). A-T is a rare genetic disease that attacks children, causing progressive loss of muscle control, immune system problems, and a high rate of cancer. The non-profit A-T Children's Project partners with academic and industry investigators worldwide organizing and supporting innovative research, conferences, clinical teams, data platforms and biomarkers to optimize disease management strategies, develop new treatments and find a cure. By joining us and raising funds, you can be the hope for every child battling A-T!

Please help me help them by giving whatever you can. The more people who know about the A-T Children's Project, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity. It means a lot!
