Story
Hello and welcome! Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page for Crohn's and Colitis UK.
As you may already be aware, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease (a form of inflammatory bowel disease) in April 2009 at the age of 27. Around 240,000 people in the UK suffer with inflammatory bowel disease, which works out at about 1 in 250. IBD can strike at any age but children and young people are most at risk. The impact on education, work, social and family life can be devastating. As well as providing information and support for IBD patients and their friends and family, Crohn's and Colitis UK work hard every day to raise awareness of IBD and invest in research towards finding a cure.
My 30th birthday is looming on the not so distant horizon and I can't think of a better way to mark the occasion than by jumping out of a plane for a charity close to my heart! On 6th April 2012 (7 days after my birthday) I will be skydiving in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. Please help me raise as much money as possible for this great charity!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you!
