Story
In August I will be spending about 3 weeks out in Kenya doing some charity work with the Kenyan Orphan Project. There is a group of 10 of us from Warwick University going and we each have to raise £800 for the charity before we go (all of this money goes directly to the project, we are covering our travel expenses ourselves).
So far I have done 2 bake sales at the medical school (see my lovely picture) and a group of us held a Valentine's stall, selling roses, handmade cards and cupcakes. I also held a very successful murder mystery night in May and have recently spent two long days bucket collecting in the freezing cold Coventry station.
My final big venture was having another attempt at the Parish Walk on the 23rd June. For those of you who don't know what this is, it is a massive event that happens once a year on the Isle of Man. It is a walk around the island, visiting all 17 parishes on the way, a grand total of 85 miles which must be completed in less than 24 hours. Last year was my first attempt and I managed half way (42 miles!) and this year I managed 52.5 miles, which took me just under 14 hours. It was pretty gruelling, and my feet are now a bit of a state! I would really appreciate if you could show your support by sponsoring me!
