Story
Friends.
As you may know, I am no runner.*
However, I found out last weekend that a friend of mine has had to pull out of the Manchester 10k which is taking place on the 20th May. And I’ve shocked even myself by saying I’ll take her place.
I’m raising money for CAFOD’s Thirst for Change Campaign which is making a dent in water poverty. Every 20 seconds a child dies because of dirty water. (It will probably take you about 20 seconds to read this message)
Please dig deep and sponsor me because a) you care about our brothers and sisters who don’t have access to clean water; and b) to make the pain I will be experiencing on the 21st worthwhile.
If you donate before the 17th May, the government will match your donation pound for pound.
Thank you.
Emily
* It would be untrue to say I’ve never run. I’ve run three times. Once a year at university in the autumn term, in the hope that I had, through no effort of my own, evolved a little over the summer break. It appeared, each time, that I had not.
