Story
In August last year I spontaneously entered the Mallorca 70.3 Ironman event, with Christmas now behind me the race day is not so slowly approaching! The 70.3 will consist of a 1.9km swim, 90km bike and a 21.1km run. With 4 months left to train and temperatures dropping to -2 degrees finding the motivation for long runs and rides is proving hard!
I decided that by competing in aid of a charity would give me the motivation I needed to finally start training. The charity I’ve chosen is Macmillan cancer support, with the charity being personally close to my heart and having seen the impact they have had on my family and other people’s lives, I want to be able to give back to a charity that helps so many people in their dark days.
I will be sure to keep you all updated with training progress leading up to race day on May the 13th! While I fully understand with the current cost of living people are strapped for cash, if you were able to donate big or small it would be hugely appreciated and please feel free to share the link!
Lots of love,
Em x
