I was undecided about setting up a charity page but thought this is my chance to provide support for a very close charity to my family.

I am running this half marathon in memory of my cousin's baby boy Aidan Mc Laughlin 10/10/2013- 14/03/2014.

His proud and loving parents Roise and Conor's world was turned upside down when a few weeks before Aidan's birth, they were dealt the news that their precious son had a brain tumour. They were told that the chances of their baby son surviving birth was very slim and to prepare for the worst. On 10th October 2013, Aidan Conor was welcomed into the arms of his doting parents and grandparents and wider family circle.

The joyous and memorable day that they thought would never happen,  when Roise and Conor brought their bundle of joy home to Muff, Co. Donegal. This amazed the medical professionals in Temple Street that Aidan had overcome their expectations. He continued to be a brave little fighter and touched everybody's hearts. He is now at rest with all the other angels taken too soon but will never be forgotten.

I have chosen the Irish Cancer Society as they supported and cared for Aidan during his short but memorable time with us. I appreciate any support no matter how big or small. Every penny counts!!
