My Oma was one of the most interesting people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. She had a million stories to tell and loved meeting new people and living life to the fullest. As life goes, though, she still had her rough times. She was a fighter until the very end, and never made things feel sad, she brought a beam of light into the room even through the pain. St Luke's hospice helped her be as comfortable as possible in those times, and I know that the work they do has helped so many more to feel at rest in the most uncomfortable moments.
