Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
This year, 12 riders from Elliotts are taking on the 550 mile Alsace Challenge from 28th - 30th September.
The British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research are the nominated charities of event organisers Challenge Adventure Charities. Plus, we will be raising funds for a charity voted for by staff, Jo's Trust.
Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to women affected by cervical cancer and cervical abnormalities. Ted Tugwell, our Tools and Fixings Product Manager is a huge supporter of the charity in memory of his late wife.
We would love to raise as much money as possible to help Jo's Trust continue their great work in supporting women, family and friends affected by cervical cancer.
Split into three groups, we will be riding a total of 550 miles across three days, starting in Arras and finishing in Riquewihr.
DAY 1 sees use rise 190 miles from Arras to Epernay, passing by the cemeteries and battlefields of WW1.
DAY 2 sees an early ride up the Avenue de Champagne before we ascend the Montagne de Reims before heading across the plains north of Chalons and ending up in Nancy.
THE FINAL DAY will see us track the Moselle river south before heading east and climbing through the ski resorts and then descending into the valleys. The final climb to the Chateau of Haut-Koenigsbourg and a descent again through the vineyards of Alsace.
Challenge Adventure Charities, established in 1996, has raised a total of £4,054,344 over the years for good causes, and we'd like to raise as much money as possible this year for the nominated charities. Your donation will help us with our ambitious £5,000 target. Thank you!
