Fundraising for Help for Heroes
Story
In April I will be plodding around the sunny streets of Manchester in an attempt to raise money for Help For Heroes. The marathon will be a huge challenge which I'm looking forward to and training towards, however the fundraising aspect is more important and that's where I need the help of you lovely people. I'm being reasonably ambitious in targeting to raise £1,000, however I'm sure that with your help we can surpass that total.
Help For Heroes is an extremely worthwhile charity and one that I have pitched to my house at school and is now our designated secondary charity. Last year marked the 70th anniversary of VE Day, and also 100 years since the first Old Boltonian fell in the First World War. Members of all 3 age groups in Wigan House agreed that it was an extremely worthwhile charity and voted to support it, as House Captain and main supporter for the charity I would love to do my bit in order to fundraise for injured ex-military personnel.
