Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hello Lovely people (I’m sucking up because I’m asking for money!)
I will be doing two crazy, painful challenges this summer to raise money for the charity Action medical research for children. Salford Triathlon on Sunday 26th July & Race the Sun on Saturday the 29th August. This is the first time I have done anything like this, I figured if I’m putting my body through so much pain I may as well do it for charity! My target is to raise £400 so what every you can give will very much appreciated J
The Blurb
Action medical research for children have been funding medical breakthroughs since 1952 like the first polio vaccines in the UK, ultrasound in pregnancy and the rubella vaccine – helping to save thousands of children’s lives and change many more.
Surprisingly medical research to help children is poorly funded in the UK. Action Medical Research has a critical job to do in helping fill this gap to protect children. The prospects for finding new cures and treatments are almost within our grasp. They have vital research ready to go – but they simply can’t fund it all.
With your help we’re determined to change this and make a real difference for children.
The challenges
Salford Triathlon:
I will be doing an Olympic distance triathlon in and around Salford Quays on Sunday 26th July. This event consists of a back to back 1.5K open water swim, 40K Cycle & 10K run.

Race the Sun:
On Saturday the 29th August as part four man team I will be embarking a brutal triathlon-style adventure challenge in the Lake District. You will cycle approximately 50 miles (80km), hike to the summit of England’s second highest mountain – Helvellyn at 3,116ft (950m) and canoe a 3km course on Lake Thirlmere. Starting at sunrise and finishing by sunset - Racing the Sun!
