Story
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit mine and Chris's JustGiving page.
When my cousin Chris and I found out that we had got places on the London Marathon we were both incredibly excited and happy. The reality of actually running the 26.2 miles is perhaps slightly less thrilling but whatever happens Chris and I will be running/walking/crawling over that finish line on Sunday April 13th.
We are running in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer, an amazing charity which is very close to our family's heart.
We will be running the Marathon in memory of my mummy and Chris's aunt who passed away from breast cancer in 2005. She was the best mummy I could have wished for and never let the cancer get in the way of this. So this year Chris and I have decided to undertake a huge personal challenge in memory of her bravery and all the wonderful years that we had together.
My mummy was not a sportswoman so would think we were absolutely barmy for doing this -but we are counting on her to provide us with that extra bit of inspiration to help us power through those miles!
Breakthrough Breast Cancer is committed to helping those suffer from Breast Cancer. Breast cancer is a disease which affects so many women and men that everybody is somehow affected or knows somebody who has been. Each year, they are making headway in their scientic research and we are running for them because we hope that one day women and men will no longer die from this illness.
We would be so grateful for any donation.
Thank you so much for all your support, we couldn't do this without you,
Ellie and Chris xx
