Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm trying to raise money for Macmillan since they provide amazing support with reliable information on cancer.
My Mom has just started chemotherapy treatment and to support her I have decided to cut my hair really really short and raise some money at the same time. She is the most remarkable person in my life, giving me (and everyone she loves) constant support and inspiration. So please show your support too by donating whatever you can.
£2,000 will make a massive difference to Macmillan it could pay for:
· 10 Macmillan Palliative care nurses for a day – helping terminally ill people and their families or carers cope with the diagnosis and support them so they can continue with their normal activities; or
· The running of a small Macmillan Information Unit (such as the one in the Radiotherapy department of Bexley Wing at St James) for one week
· The operating of their phone service for 3 hours. During this, their specialists could answer 80 calls and emails from people needing someone to talk to, or advice.
· The information resources for a large Macmillan Information and Support Unit to be stocked for 7 months
I'd like to give a big shout out to Robert at Toni & Guy in Leeds who has agreed to cut my hair and invited my Mom to be a participant in a make over event in Leeds on 21 March - check out www.carolinescampaign.org.uk
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
