UPDATE: The London-Brighton cycle has been postponed until 2021 for obvious reasons (Covid ☹️).
BUT I'm planning to do the cycle anyway on October 4th and Live Unlimited will appreciate your sponsorship more than ever.
Unfortunately, the only thing Covid hasn't cancelled is Ditchling Beacon (a mile-long hill right towards the end of the 55 mile ride to Brighton) so your sponsorship should help keep me motivated in the final stretch.
P.S. Before anyone tells me off... I always wear a helmet when cycling - only took it off here for the photo op!
About Live Unlimited
Live Unlimited is a small local charity in Barnet that provides access to hobbies; training and learning opportunities; and sports and leisure activities for children in care and young care leavers in the borough.
The charity’s aim is for every young person in the borough, who has experienced being in care, to feel they can pursue interests outside of school, college or work just as their peers do, helping them to acquire new skills, feel more self-confident, improve their health and wellbeing, meet new people and develop new pathways into education and/or employment.
They do this is by buying the equipment or items the young person needs to pursue an interest, such as a camera, trumpet, bike, athletics club fees or a sewing machine. The chairty also supports young care leavers with employment opportunities, by buying the tools or chefs knives they may need for an apprenticeship, or the specialist software they may need for their uni course. Without our intervention, these young people are unable to take up these opportunities.
