Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Aiza and Subhaan are siblings aged 12 and 8, different in age but very similar in there big personalities.

Both Aiza and Subhaan suffer from neurological disorder, global developmental delay and dravet syndrome causing very severe complex epilepsy and both are wheelchair bound. They both require 24hour care around the clock by Carer’s and us as parents for all their needs.

Day to day life can be very challenging and very unpredictable for both Aiza and Subhaan especially if they take a turn for the worse and there seizures are uncontrollable . Sometimes both children are left with no care from the care agency meaning they are very limited to there indoor environment.

From both siblings Subhaan is the most vulnerable as last year he had a respiratory failure causing him to end up on life support machine for 21 days and we were face with the most difficult times in our lives  to prepare ourselves to say our final goodbyes which no parent should have to ever go through. Subhaan suffered a very severe injury to his hand and arm while on the ventilator causing arterial damage where his thumb had to be amputated and further surgery had to be carried out on his hand. Subhaan will require further surgery to his hand in life as he grows.

Subhaan is our little miracle who fought all the odds and pulled through and was given a new chance in life. This experience taught us to never give up and make the most of all the opportunities life throws at us and create more amazing memories.

Due to Subhaan’s respiratory failure it caused his lungs to get weak meaning he will now require oxygen therapy for the rest of his life and limits him in what he can do or go to certain places.

Lockdown was a major challenge as we were very limited in where we could take the children due to there vulnerabilities and needs meaning they were stuck indoors most of the time as unfortunately we have no safe access into the back or front garden for them.

Aiza and Subhaan both enjoy sensory activities and being able to provide a safe access to the outdoor space would be a life changing experience. They would benefit immensely by sensing the outdoor life and nature as they have never had the opportunity to do so in their garden ever.

Please help us to make Aiza and Subhaan’s wish come true for a sensory garden and help them have the safe access to the garden where they can explore and sense the true nature and give them both the best possible life chances in creating more beautiful memories with us as a whole family.

Aiza and Subhaan would also benefit from funds to be raised for a hydro pool in the garden as this would help there muscle tightness and spasms caused by there seizures and  Subhaan’s movement disorder.

We would be ever so grateful If you can make a donation of support  and the funds will be put to great use on Aiza and Subhaan’s journey towards an independent and happy life.
