Story
After actually enjoying last year's London Marathon (honest) I have decided to do it again, and at the same time try to raise some more money for FRU. Last year I made £1688 which FRU was very grateful for and which went towards helping a lot of people who needed legal representation in benefits tribunals and employment cases.
This year FRU needs the money more than ever, since increasingly severe cuts to legal aid mean that there are more and more vulnerable people in need of free legal help.
Last year's time was 4 hours 48 minutes and some seconds. Finishing was made possible by some training, all the lovely people that came to see me, and all the lovely other people giving out hi-fives, vaseline, free sweets and biscuits and chocolate bars, and everyone being super generous and donating. I'm trying this year to cut the time down, but we'll see how that goes on the day.
I understand that times are hard for lots of folk - but if you have any spare cash for charitable purposes, I'd be very grateful if you could send it FRU's way.
I don't know if you're allowed to say this on a money donating website, but If you would rather support me by coming and standing along the 26.2miles somewhere that would be equally appreciated- There will also be an opportunity to come and hang out in a pub afterwards and watch me eat large amounts of pastry/ chips/ cake.
