So yes, it's a special birthday this year. Some of you have been telling me that means I should have some extra special gifts that I can keep forever to mark the occasion. Well, I think no present will last longer than the knowledge that together we have helped local women and children escape from abuse :-)

Home should be the safest place for everyone at the moment but, sadly, for some people it isn't. Coventry Haven Women's Aid is a specialist domestic violence service, delivering services to women and their children experiencing all forms of domestic abuse including forced marriage, honour based violence and female genital mutilation (FGM). They provide safe houses, advice and support, counselling services, legal clinics, a helpline, awareness training and more.

Anything you can give, however big or small, to help keep their services available to the women and children that need them would genuinely be the best birthday present that I could receive.
