Story
Looks like I need to unpack my swim hat and goggles and start training for Swim Serpentine again. As the event was unfortunately cancelled last year the new date is now Saturday 16th September 2023. Which means I need to start getting back to the pool and finding my inner fish! I'm hoping by bringing this Just Giving page back to life it will help me find some much needed motivation. Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre (CRCC) is an amazing charity and every penny they get will help them to be able to keep delivering the fantastic service they provide to the many survivors of sexual violence that need their help and support.
Swimming isn't particularly my thing but I thought having given cycling a go with the Ride London 100 miles I should give swimming a chance and why not go all in and do the 2 laps of the Serpentine rather than just one. I'm not going with any time in mind but I just want to get round (twice!) and finish the event. Of course if I can raise some money for CRCC too then that is amazing :)
I know I've asked many times over the past few years for donations but CRCC really is a wonderful charity and needs all the help they can get. Demand for their services is increasing and securing funding for it is never an easy task. So it would be wonderful to be able to help them as much as we can so that they can focus on carrying on doing the fantastic work they do.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
