My Grandpa died on Friday 1st June this year after suffering with Alzheimers for years. Watching my Grandpa's personality shrink and finally vanish was devastating. He seemed constantly anxious and scared of things only he could see and our attempts to comfort him seemed to make things worse. To see his body suffer the same decline until he couldn't even sit up, swallow was like grieving for him a second time.

This disease is so common now and families everywhere are going through terrible turmoil slowly losing their loved ones.

Please donate to the Alzheimers Society in memory of my wonderful, funny and loving Grandpa and maybe we can help to edge closer to the elusive cure and at the very least provide support for other sufferers.
