Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi I'm Ben and I'm 12. A few years ago I hurt my foot and ended up in excruciating pain and in a wheelchair as I developed a condition called CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome).  My family and I had never heard of it before but it changed my life. I went from being an active outgoing boy, to being in continual pain, in and out of hospital and unable to attend school or take part in normal activities. The pain I experienced was unbearable and there was no hope of a cure, even the strongest pain killers were uneffective. It made my life miserable but I was one of the lucky ones, as children have a better chance of recovery and I managed to beat the illnesss. I am now devoted to funraising for 'The Pain Relief Foundation', a charity committed to researching cures for chronic pain conditions.
