Story
In July we were diagnosed with PPROM, preterm premature rupture of membranes. This is a condition that occurs in 3% of pregnancies and at the gestation we were diagnosed had a survival estimate of 1%. We defied odds and almost 8 weeks after our diagnosis welcomed baby Gavin and our odds of survival went up to 90%. After almost 12 weeks in the NICU, we took Gavin home and he has been thriving since. To help spread our blessing, we started two funds, Gavin's AOCU fund and Gavin's NICU fund, to support families going through what we went through.
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is not where anyone expects their pregnancy journey to end. Your valued donation can provide the following resources which aide in teaching families how to parent in an Intensive Care environment while also facing the stressors of their lives: Travel & Accommodation Assistance, Babies basic needs such as clothing, bottles, nipples, diapers, Support resources: Gas cards and restaurant gift cards, Light meals offered to families during education nights, and Holiday celebration events.
