Many years ago when I was about 4 years old, a new couple moved into the house next door to mine.  Little did I know how important this couple would become to me.  Not only did they give me the sisters that I never had, they also became my 'Mummy Mo' and 'Daddy Dave' supporting me through some tough times in my life and becoming my family.  Tragically 'Daddy Dave' died last year from mesothelioma, a form of lung cancer brought on by exposure to asbestos. 

By running the Rock 'n' Roll Dublin Half Marathon I want to honour the memory of 'Daddy Dave' by raising money for Mesothelioma UK, a national resource centre dedicated to providing specialist Mesothelioma information, support & improved care and treatment.

My amazing husband John is joining me to tread the streets of Dublin.  He is my inspiration and my rock.  If he's not there with me i'll probably stop at the first pub i come across - and as we're in Dublin they won't be hard to find.  Love you Johnnie B xxxx
