The Magnificent 11 - * Walk for Lee *

Lee was 11 years old in Primary 7 when his life as he knew it ground to a halt. He was at school as normal one Friday, and on the Monday he was admitted to Yorkhill and diagnosed with a rare leukaemia, and fell asleep for the last time 9 months later.
Lee spent his last birthday in the Children’s Cancer Ward, turning 12 with a new iPhone and a blood transfusion to give him energy enough to stay awake x
But the reality that is easier to focus on is the Magnificent 11 Years that Lee filled our home and our hearts with his endless beautiful energy, his love, his friends, his cheek, his fun - and his Hundreds of footballs and mucky boots x
He filled us with his Life x ❤️
So when Billy from Murray Walkers shared this link for such a beautifully local uplifting and energising walk that’s filled with wee bits of history and nature in the city at every turn ..
I knew we had to

We're a community dedicated to beating blood cancer. We do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, our community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job.
* Charities pay a small fee for our service. Find out how much it is and what we do for it.
