Story
For my birthday this year, I am doing something a little different. Very recently, a really close friend of mine, Arnav Bhatt, passed away for causes still uncertain. Knowing his heart, and how much he meant to so many people, I wanted something good to come out of this situation.
Back in 2015, I briefly worked for an NGO in London, Blenheim CDP, which helped alcohol and substance abusers take the first step into their recovery, as well as aiding them down the path to abstinence. I remember fundings was one of the key things they always were in need of, and this is a way for me to thank them for what they have taught me as a person.
Arnav had gone through a similar path at a place here in Zurich, which unfortunately no one knows about. But what I do know about, is that it did help him get clean, and during that time, he began a new life to be proud about, until the very end.
Arnie, this is to remember the wonderful person you were, your struggles, but also your victories. Thank you for the laughs, the tears, and for the time we had together. I will always cherish them.
