Story
Edit: West Highland Way complete!! Thank you SoO much to everyone who supported us! Only The Lap to go - it is another beast altogether 🙈🙈🙈 but would love to get to our target - it will give motivation to get it done!
Eliott had the fantastic idea for us to walk the West Highland Way (96 miles from Milngavie to Fort William) from 9th-16th April for CICRA, a charity that supports young people who have been diagnosed with IBD, and their families. You can find out more about the work they do here https://www.cicra.org/
Eliott: CICRA is a fantastic charity, which has helped me understand and cope with the many challenges caused by Crohn's disease. Because of this, I wanted to do something to raise money, so they can carry on doing the good work they do. The West Highland Way has been on my bucket list for a while, so raising money whilst walking the miles seemed like a great idea! Raising money for a charity will also give me the impetus to keep going.
Eliott is now on medication that is controlling the disease, although day to day, fatigue can be a challenge, so walking the WHW is not an easy undertaking - we've got a support crew that will meet us at the end of every day - Andy and Jake!
Kirsten: Also attempting 'The Lap'...47 miles around Lake Windermere on May 14th with my pal Sarah...in 24 hours.
If you feel like you’d like to support with a few pennies, that’s great! But also words of encouragement really appreciated!
Thanks for reading 🙂
