Story

Click DONATE or text  SANT69 with your donation  (£5,£10 etc) to 70070  to support Santa charity run for teens:) fighting cancer. Thanks!!

Santa needs little helpers!

On Sunday, Desember 4, I am dressing like Santa to participate in a charity run that will take place in Greenwich park. I ‘ll run for Karen Millen and Debbie Pezzani’s teens:)unite fighting cancer (www.teensunitefightingcancer.org).  So, I will be Santa for a couple of hours and the goal is to get a nice present, i.e a big pot of cash for the charity that is very close to my heart.

Nobody like the C-word. CANCER is frightening. It must be very scary when you are a child or a teenage. How scary? Here kids are telling their stories:   http://teensunitefightingcancer.org/index.php?stories Do you remember all the tensions, insecurities and self doubt of growing up? Well, now add cancer to it and you can picture how really hard it can be for a child or a teenager to go through such challenging times.

WHY should you donate? You should, if you believe that small efforts can make a big impact. This money can pay for a hair transplant for a young girl going through chemo, or organise a fun day out for a group of teens, help build respite homes  -'homes with a heart', a place where these teenagers battling against cancer and other life limiting illnesses can receive comfort and support from staff and other residents who understand their problems as no one else can.

When you are unexpectedly stricken with a life-threatening disease, the difference between what makes you happy and not is really small. So, friends, colleagues, relatives, strangers - please, help me raise money for teens:)unite fighting cancer, an organisation where difference is made every day, every hour, every minute.

Yes, I will be dressed like Santa - many have already told me it's funny. And silly. I agree. I will be laughing my head off! So can you, if you join me on the day – it will be a pleasure to see you.

It would be a rather cool gesture from you to find a minute and donate - a pound, a fiver, a tenner. Just like in that advert of you know what : "Every little helps”.  If you can, please, spread the word – here is the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Santa-Run-Against-Cancer-December-4th2011/299258336771104?sk=events and you can “Like” this fundraising page, too, thus letting other know about the cause.

To become Santa’s little helper,  please CLICK on DONATE NOW  button or  TEXT SANT69 with your donation (£10,£5 etc) to 70070

 THANK YOU!
