Current events and corresponding news reminds us every day that human rights are still far from being reality for many people around the world. Oppression and discrimination against individuals and groups is still widespread despite increasing awareness and action from the public sphere.

Amnesty International is a non-profit global organisation campaigning for the promotion of human rights. It shares the vision of a world in which every person enjoys all human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations with over three million supporters worldwide. To fulfil this vision Amnesty focuses on both research and action to end grave abuse of these rights and provide international solidarity and effective support for individual and groups of victims.

This is why I would like to support Amnesty International in their cause to ensure the safeguarding of human rights around the world not only in some few, privileged countries. I would be very thankful if you would contribute to my run for Amnesty International with a small donation – Every Euro, Pound or Dollar and every step I run is one towards universal human rights for everyone on our planet!
