On August 27th 2011, I will be attempting a 9 mile walk, from the Halfway House in Broxburn to the Corrie Bar in Armadale, in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

This may not seem like a major challenge to most of you, however 9 miles is definitely the furthest I'll have walked in one go, in all of my 30 years!  Thankfully there will be a pint waiting at the end of the walk!

Seriously though, when I found out the walk was to help Marie Curie, there was no way I could say no.  They helped to make my mum's final days as peaceful as possible, and have given me support over the last 18 months.  Unfortunately they have to depend very heavily on donations, which is why this walk is so important.  Anything you can spare, however small, would be ever so much appreciated.
