We help veterans and their families to live the life they deserve after service
Story
While on tour in Afghanistan earlier this year, my boyfriend Captain Andrew Jelinek of the Household Cavalry was seriously wounded in the line of duty, and a long journey began to rehabilitate him from his terrible injuries. During numerous trips to Selly Oak hospital and Headly Court, I have been faced with the shocking reality of just how many service men and women, many of them in their teens and twenties, have been left with life altering wounds in the service of their country, and of their incredible fortitude and courage in facing the challenge of life post injury. Help for Heroes is with them every step of the way, providing practical support and help. On July 10th 2010, my friend Sarah Grant and I are joining the Horses for Heroes Ride from Windsor Great Park to Ascot Race course to raise money for this incredibly important charity. It’s vital they receive the funds they need to keep helping people like Andrew who have been so afflicted in the fulfilment of duty. Please sponsor us and give something back to those who have given so much. Many, many thanks, Eleanor Stourton and Sarah Grant
