In October 2014 I will volunteer for 10 weeks on a development programme in Bangladesh. This is part of International Citizen Service (ICS), which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most, in communities which have requested support. I’ll be working alongside volunteers from the host country, on projects that aim to improve the lives of various local people.

I need to raise £800 for Y Care International who are one of the respected development charities that deliver ICS. This will allow them to continue to bring about positive change in the developing communities where they work. You can check out their amazing work here http://www.ycareinternational.org/

I’ll be completing a variety of fundraising activities and you can keep track of how I get on here on my Justgiving page. Any contribution from you will make a real difference to the lives of people in developing countries, so please dig deep!

On Monday 18th August I will take part in the Live Below the Line Challenge - with just £1 a day for food for a week. This is a massive challenge in the Western world, but something many individuals living in poverty here and abroad must deal with week in week out. Your support will be a massive motivator for me, and will go some way in ensuring other needy communities can be reached by ICS.
