Fundraising for Evelina London Children's Charity
Hellooo, I’m finally doing what I said I’d do five years ago and raise some money for the Evelina hospital in London. When Stanley was six weeks old he caught the RSV virus and became unwell with bronchiolitis. He deteriorated at Pembury hospital despite all their brilliant care and after spending a night in high dependency had to be put on a ventilator and transferred by the amazing South Thames Retrieval Service to intensive care in the Evelina. It was terrifying. He spent 6 nights there and; the skill, kindness and compassion of the staff was incredible. We were lucky to be able to come home on Christmas Eve. The nurses, drs, paramedics, physios, cleaning staff, clerical staff, everyone there is amazing. The Evelina is a special place, and helps so many unwell children and their families. Chris, Molly, Ted, Stan and I will never stop being grateful to everyone who helped him come home.
This is going to be so difficult, I really am not good at just running, 5k is usually my limit and the hills are meant to be awful; I hate hills, help! Any small amount or a share to try and raise as much money as possible for them will be so appreciated. Every pound raised will help Evelina London do incredible things for sick children, young people and their families. Thank you so much ☺️ Ele xxx
